8 days from MARRAKECH

Day 1: Arrive to Marrakech airport and transfer to your riad.

Day 2: Marrakech Sightseeing.

After breakfast we’ll explore Marrakech - “the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure you see the most important historical and cultural sites, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square we’ll take a walk through the souks and the rest of the day will be at your leisure. 

Day 3: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - ouarzazette - Dades Valley.

After collection from your riad / hotel in Marrakesh we will set off for the Dades Gorges. Passing through Tizi-n-Tishka in the High Atlas Mountains we will visit the UNESCO World heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou which has  been the backdrop for many films including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Alexander. After lunch we’ll enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and historical monuments of Taourirt Kasbah in Ourzazate and the Valley of the Roses, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. We’ll also pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des M'Gouna and Boumalene du Dades where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Dades Valley - Toudgha Gorges - Ramlia village. Basic accommodation.  Very small village in the middle of desert, where you can meet local people and experience the real life of the rural Morocco.

After breakfast we will leave Boumalene du Dades for Ramlia, a hidden Berber village in the south of Morocco. We’ll pass through the dramatic Dades Valley and Toudgha Gorges, and Alnif, then continuing offroad through Tazoulate, Fzou, Hi Fougani. We’ll have a picnic en route before reaching our destination of Ramlia where we will have chance to see and meet local people and visite Ramlia Children's Literacy Fund, spending the night in a small Berber guest house

Day 5: Ramlia Village  - Merzouga. camel ride in desert and night in a camp. 

After breakfast we’ll set off for Erg Chebbi, Merzouga, enjoying the desert landscapes, and passing through the grave stones of Taouz. We will then have an opportunity to hear the Gnawa music of Khamlia where we will have lunch in a small restaurant owned by a Gnawi person. Then it is a short drive to a nearby hotel for some refreshments before a camel ride into the desert. All unnecessary luggage will be left in safe rooms at the hotel. The 90 minute camel trek will take us to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of several comfortable Berber tents equipped with mattresses and linen, a restaurant, a kitchen and a 'natural' toilet. The evening will consist of dinner followed by entertainment provided by Berber drums around the camp fire.

Day 6: Merzouga - Draa valley - Ouarzazette.

Before sunrise, you will be woken up to climb the sand dunes for fantastic photo opportunities. We will then make our way back to the hotel for showers and breakfast before we continue our journey to Ouarzazate, passing through Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkob, and the Draa Valley. We will spend the night in a guest house in Ouarzazate

Day 7: Ouarzazette - High Atlas mountain - Marrakech.

After breakfast, we will set off for Marrakech, passing through the spectacular High Atlas mountains and we will then drop you off at your riad

Day 8: Transfer to the airport
